Raoul Wallenberg is one of the most famous and admired Swedes in the world. Working from the Swedish legation in Budapest, Hungary, he led a daring operation to rescue countless of Jews from the Holocaust in the closing stages of World War II. Raoul Wallenberg issued protective passports and sheltered Jews in safe buildings called “Swedish Houses”. His story is an extraordinary example of moral courage and individual responsibility.

This video contains four testimonies in which Holocaust survivors, who today live in Israel, tell their story of how they were rescued by Raoul Wallenberg. The videos were produced by the Embassy of Sweden in Tel Aviv.
